The Mass (Latin: Missa), a form of sacred musical composition, is a choral composition that sets the invariable portions of the Eucharistic liturgy, called the Ordinarium (Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus and Agnus Dei)

Protestant Reformation

The motet is an unaccompanied sacred musical composition for chorus, of a Latin text, not specifically connected to the liturgy of a given day, and therefore suitable for use in any service.

Ave Maria is a well known example. 

This one was composed by Tomás Luis de Victoria

chorale is a melody to which a hymn is sung by a congregation in a German Protestant Church service.

They are written in German and are usually sung in four-voices harmony, in which the sopranos (and the congregation) sing the melody.

Martin Luther composed some chorales himself, such as A Mighty Fortress is our God (Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott) He wrote the words and composed the melody sometime between 1527 and 1529.
